Air Quality


World nations who are members of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) have recognized the need to understand and control the increasing influence of human activity on the global atmosphere. WMO's Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) has defined within its mandate maintaining and applying global, long-term observations of the chemical composition and selected physical characteristics of the atmosphere while emphasizing quality assurance and control.


The socio-economic consequences of that influence affecting human and ecosystem health, water quality, water supply and agricultural production, to name a few most alarming ones, urged the definition of those concrete actions to face the challenges related to issues such as the stratospheric ozone depletion, changes in weather and climate related to atmospheric amounts of greenhouse gases, ozone and aerosols, and the risks of air pollution and its transport and deposition.


In support of the sciences related to Atmospheric Monitoring, at IES we provide state-of-art Air Quality Monitoring solutions such as:


  1. Trace Gas Detection including Greenhouse Gases,
  2. Portable Gas Analyzers, and
  3. Stack, Duct and Tunnel optical flow meters

IES also supports the monitoring of emissions into the atmosphere from industrial activities with the supply of measurment systems such as high-accuracy air flow sensors for stacks, ducts and channels and long-base flow sensors for ambient safety in Aluminium smelters.
