Gateway

EnviroMonitor Gateway — Model 6803

Cellular IoT gateway for real-time environmental monitoring — connects multiple Davis sensors to the cloud with automatic data upload, remote configuration and API access.

Overview

EnviroMonitor Gateway — Model 6803

The EnviroMonitor Gateway (Model 6803) is a cellular-connected IoT data hub that aggregates observations from multiple Davis sensors and transmits them automatically to the WeatherLink cloud platform. It enables real-time remote monitoring, API data access and alert management from any browser — without any on-site server infrastructure.
Key Benefits
  • Cellular connectivity — no local Wi-Fi or LAN required
  • Supports multiple sensor nodes from a single gateway
  • Automatic cloud upload to WeatherLink platform
  • Remote configuration and firmware updates over-the-air
  • RESTful API for integration with third-party platforms
  • Low power consumption — suitable for solar-powered sites

Applications

Where It's Used

Precision Agriculture

Remote farm and field sensor networks with cellular backhaul.

Early Warning Systems

Real-time environmental alerting for flood, fire and storm events.

Municipal Networks

Distributed city-level environmental monitoring at scale.

IoT Integration

API-driven data feeds for SCADA, WebGIS and analytics platforms.

System Integration

Compatible with IES WebGIS

EnviroMonitor Gateway data can be ingested directly into the IES Met-WebGIS platform via the WeatherLink REST API — enabling sensor observations to appear alongside NWP model outputs, satellite imagery and radar data in a single operational display environment.

This makes the EnviroMonitor Gateway a cost-effective field data acquisition solution for organizations deploying Davis sensor networks as part of a broader IES-managed meteorological or environmental monitoring system.

  • WeatherLink API feeds into IES WebGIS data ingest pipeline
  • Sensor observations displayed geospatially on WebGIS maps
  • Threshold alarms configurable in IES platform
  • Historical data archived for trend analysis and reporting
Compatible Davis Sensor Nodes
  • Vantage Pro2 and Vantage Pro2 Plus weather stations
  • Leaf & Soil Station — soil moisture and leaf wetness
  • AirLink PM2.5 air quality monitor
  • Temperature / Humidity sensors
  • Soil moisture sensors (multiple depths)
  • Wireless anemometer transmitters
